Prompt Analysis — GEO Jetpack
Pillar 01 · Prompt Analysis

How AI search engines respond to prompts about your brand — engine by engine.

Every prompt runs through four distinct analyses across four major LLM engines: visibility, citation extraction, sentiment and framing, and position within the response. That’s 16 discrete measurements per prompt, on every run.

Four analyses per prompt

What we measure inside every AI response.

Citation trackers stop at “was the brand mentioned.” GEO Jetpack extracts four distinct signals from every response, giving you a complete picture rather than a binary yes/no.

01

Visibility

Is your brand cited in the response — and if so, how prominently? We measure presence at three levels: mentioned in-line, cited as source, or absent entirely. Each engine, each prompt, each run.

Output: Visibility rate per engine, aggregated per prompt class
02

Citation extraction

Which specific URLs did each LLM pull from to construct the response? We extract every source, score its authority, and identify which citations belong to your brand versus competitors.

Output: Source URL list per response, citation rate, competitor comparison
03

Sentiment & framing

How is your brand positioned in the response? Favourably, neutrally, or negatively — and in what comparative context? Sentiment measurement runs on the full response text, not just brand-mention snippets.

Output: Sentiment score, framing tags (leader, follower, alternative)
04

Position & salience

Where does your brand appear in the response — first, last, or buried in the middle? Position matters because it correlates with user attention and downstream traffic behaviour.

Output: Position index, salience score, first-mention rank per engine
Multi-engine coverage

Four engines. Weekly base cadence. Daily on watched prompts.

Different LLMs surface different citations for identical prompts. Measuring only one engine misses the pattern.

ChatGPT
OpenAI models with search grounding, including GPT-4o and the newer reasoning variants.
Claude
Anthropic’s Claude with web search tool, capturing Claude’s citation behaviour independently.
Gemini
Google’s Gemini with the googleSearch grounding source — includes Google AI Mode surfacing.
Perplexity
Perplexity’s search-first architecture, with its distinct citation format handled natively.
Real-user-perspective monitoring on watched prompts. Standard prompts run via API for reliability and coverage. Priority prompts you flag as watched run daily via user-perspective scraping — the same view your customers see when they open ChatGPT or Perplexity themselves.
ENQ™ prompt taxonomy

Five prompt classes. Structured for coverage, not volume.

Every prompt in a GEO Jetpack campaign is classified into one of five ENQ classes. This ensures your monitoring covers the full range of query types — not just brand queries, which most tools default to.
